Bioseeding Cepario Laboratory

An architectural ecosystem where science, art, and nature merge into a single living organism.

Bioseeding Cepario Laboratory

A speculative architectural ecosystem conceived by Felipe Escudero, where science, art, and nature merge into a single living organism. The Bioseeding Cepario Laboratory reimagines the traditional research space as an immersive landscape for experimentation, cultivation, and observation. Rather than separating laboratory from exhibition, the project transforms biological processes into spatial experiences, allowing visitors to witness growth, mutation, and adaptation as part of an evolving architectural narrative.

Organic structures, translucent membranes, and fluid geometries define a hybrid environment that feels simultaneously natural and artificial. Materials such as steel, glass, resin, and custom composites are shaped into forms that echo cellular structures, roots, and geological formations, creating a dialogue between technological precision and biological intuition. Light becomes an active agent, filtering through layers of structure and vegetation, amplifying the sensation of being inside a living system.

The project challenges the boundaries between laboratory, greenhouse, and gallery. It operates as a platform for bio-research, artistic production, and public engagement, proposing architecture as an active participant in ecological processes rather than a passive container. Bioseeding Cepario is both a scientific instrument and a poetic manifesto, exploring how design can cultivate new relationships between humans, technology, and the living world.
