Domino
An ecosystem conceived as a living matrix of space, light, and collective wellbeing.
Domino
A large-scale residential ecosystem conceived as a living matrix of space, light, and collective wellbeing. Designed by Felipe Escudero, Domino is a 30,000 m² architectural ensemble composed of pixelated rectangular volumes that cascade along a cliff, carefully orchestrated to open views toward the valley on both sides while preserving privacy and environmental balance.
The project is organized as a three-dimensional field of modular cubes — a system that allows density without monotony. Each volume shifts, rotates, or steps back in response to topography, sunlight, and sightlines, generating a dynamic silhouette and a rich variety of outdoor terraces, voids, and communal platforms. Architecture becomes a spatial game of alignment and offset, where every move enhances light, air, and visual connection.
Domino redefines collective living through the lens of wellness. Circulation is conceived as a social promenade; shared spaces for movement, rest, and encounter are interwoven throughout the structure. Gardens, open-air corridors, and layered communal zones encourage daily habits centered on walking, breathing, social interaction, and contemplation of the landscape.
Rather than treating housing as a static container, Domino proposes an active environment — one that promotes physical and mental health through spatial diversity, orientation, and continuous contact with nature. The result is a high-performance community where architecture operates as infrastructure for wellbeing, and density is transformed into opportunity.
