Make it stand out.

Stalagmite exists between artifact and geological presence.

Stalagmite explores vertical growth as a slow accumulation of matter, expressed through a continuous metallic surface that appears both fluid and solid at the same time.

The piece is conceived as a frozen moment of formation — a geological process translated into a synthetic material language. Its protrusions emerge as if shaped by pressure, gravity, and time, creating a sequence of directional spikes that suggest movement despite the object’s static nature.

Fabricated in high-polished metal, the surface captures and distorts its surroundings, allowing the object to constantly change through reflection. The material reinforces the reading of the piece as something simultaneously natural and artificial — a form that could belong to mineral formation or advanced fabrication.

Rather than being symmetrical or predictable, the geometry evolves through tension and release, producing areas of compression and expansion that give the sculpture a sense of internal energy.

Stalagmite exists between artifact and geological presence. A synthetic mineral. A vertical accumulation of force, material, and time.
